This animated film presents a poetic night walk through the La Défense district of Paris, where a homeless man encounters the sculpture “The Red Spider” by Alexander Calder. This hand-drawn film, in which artworks placed in public spaces come surrealistically to life, conveys a sense of alienation and loneliness. The film is also a critique of a slick business district that is not welcoming to all.
The film is screened as part of the block of short films Archi shorts | The story of the house.
