What happens when the place around us starts to rapidly change and/or disappears completely?

Film by the Czech-Swedish filmmaker follows the fate of the Swedish town of Kiruna located above the Arctic Circle and characterised by the mining industry. Its expansion and unstable ground demands part of the town to be torn down, moved and built up again a few kilometres away. Kiruna – A Brand New World introduces the locals and their perception of this period in-between.

The screening is followed by a discussion with the director
