Over the course of its 25-year history, the CE ZA AR Award has evolved into an important opinion-forming platform. As a competitive showcase, it presents high-quality architecture with an innovative and inclusive approach, shaping public opinion—both professional and lay—on architecture and the environment—whether private or public—that surrounds us. The “Awards of the Last 10 Years” brings viewers the architects’ own commentary on the nominated works, which are broadcast as a series of five video documentaries on national television in Slovakia. The aim of compiling the documentaries on the nominations into a feature-length film is its distribution to cinemas and cultural centers in regions not only in Slovakia, as well as cultural export abroad, which will enable the dissemination and promotion of Slovak architecture beyond Slovakia’s borders. At the same time, it will contribute to enhancing the prestige of the nominated works, thereby supporting their recognition on the international stage and strengthening the position of domestic architects in a global context. Foreign audiences will thus have the opportunity to become acquainted with domestic architecture
