The visionary architecture and design studio LOT-EK was one of the first to transform shipping containers into homes, schools, galleries, and libraries. The duo of Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, originally from Italy and now based in New York, have been upcycling these unintended symbols of modernity for over a quarter of a century. This feature-length documentary presents the results of their lifelong collaboration and their vision for the necessary repair and regeneration of an unnatural environment composed of hundreds of millions of obsolete and disused containers around the world.
