How is the construction of a large-scale development project on a small hill on the outskirts of Bratislava changing the lives of the local population that has lived here peacefully for decades? And how is it changing the lives of birds that have inhabited the area since ancient times? This very personal film by director Eva Križková tells the sad fate of Vtáčnik Hill by combining archival footage from the author’s childhood, footage of contemporary events, and a bit of a bird’s eye view. For the author, the film medium is a way of coping with the situation. At the same time, she tries to find a way for all parties to work together. But is this even possible?
