A funny documentary road movie in which Canadian photographer Christopher Herwig searches for diverse bus stops in the former Soviet Union. Architecture, just like everything else, was under a strict surveillance of the regime making the small structures one of the few unrestricted artistic expressions. That resulted in hundreds of unique works of art and architecture scattered from Ukraine through Uzbekistan to Siberia. Herwig started his original project already in 2002 and spent over 15 years with it, even published a book of photographs which was so popular that he made a sequel. The bus stops are slowly disappearing in front of Christopher’s eyes which makes their recording even more urgent.
Opening screening of the festival with the personal participation of director Kristoffer Hegnsvad.
