The film depicts the creation of a pavilion made of snow as a temporary land art work in the open air. Artist Wanda Koop and designer Thom Fougere created it on the frozen Nestaweya River Trail in Winnipeg. NIX, named after the Latin word for “snow,” is a reflective space inspired by the artist’s works depicting landscapes and frozen moments. Carved portholes around the perimeter of the structure frame dreamy views of the snow-covered river.

The film is presented as part of the screening of the film Green Over Gray: Emilio Ambasz.
