Miralles

A film portrait of one of the most important Spanish representatives of contemporary architecture, Enrico Miralles, who died at the age of only 45. Miralles was the author of extraordinary buildings such as the Santa Caterina market in Barcelona, the sports centre in Huesca, and the new Igualada cemetery, which is also his final resting place. His specific creative method, inspired by Giacometti and based on variation, is reflected in the film’s structure. The director Maria Mauti, together with writer Sara Mesa, search for shards of his essence in Miralles’ key realizations, try to communicate and re-embody him.
