The Swiss architect Mario Botta specialises in sacral buildings, each of which he approaches with a unique individual style.
As one of the few he has built space for service of the three main monotheistic religions – chapels, churches, synagogues and now a mosque. The film travels to China, South Korea, Israel, Italy and Switzerland and introduces not only these extraordinary buildings, but also the creative process and considerations about the relations to sacred spaces beyond.
