In his post-war films, the famous film director Jacques Tati reflected the comic side of French modernity on the basis of fictional and real architecture and design. In his lecture, which will accompany the screening of a documentary film about Jacques Tati, Adam Štěch will contextualize his films within the history of French post-war modernism and reveal the real houses and products that became the models for the architecturally sound set design of Tati’s films.
