Danish design is known all over the world for its simplicity, functionality and longevity, but most female designers from the so called ‘Golden Age of Danish design’, which spanned from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, were overlooked and forgotten. Cinematic reconstruction tells a story of Grethe Meyer, one of the few female pioneers in the field, who thanks to bold fearlessness managed to introduce her iconic products such as a porcelain collection for Royal Copenhagen and/or her Firepot stoneware series. Her designs are embedded with connection of humanistic thinking and almost scientific methodology.
