Originally from Switzerland the architect Albert Frey started his career in the studio of Le Corbusier working on the iconic Villa Savoye. Strongly influenced by this experience, he left his European home in 1939 and set off to America to discover completely different materials and constructions. Frey only settled in the inhospitable Californian desert of Palm Springs and in the radically different climatic conditions carved out a new style of modernism. With never-before-seen archival footage, photographs and interviews the documentary reveals a discreet architect, who left a lasting mark in both the area and the architectural field.
