“Concrete Moves” charts the Senegalese city of Dakar—a city where concrete is slowly erasing memories, nature, and traces of the past. Through dance, metaphors, and archival footage, it brings children’s memories and fears to life and confronts them with the present-day, adult experience of the city itself. It observes the city like a snake slowly shedding its skin, leaving behind a devastated coastline transformed by relentless urban expansion.
