Ada – My Mother the Architect

A deeply moving portrait of the famous Israeli architect Ada Karmi-Melamede, directed by her daughter, filmmaker and architect Yael. The author of landmark buildings such as the Supreme Court of Israel and Ben Gurion International Airport, like many other working women, she has incredibly balanced motherhood and career. The director goes to the core and reveals her mother’s many failings as well. The film is also a certain kind of a family therapy that will have a healing effect on even the most cynical viewer.
