What happens when Finnish architectonic studio wins a competition to design an urban plan for a new city in a Nepalese valley? The euphoria of winning and the passion for the challenge is quickly replaced by a frustration at the clash between Western thinking and the Eastern culture strongly insisting on traditions. With Kathmandu and other large cities bursting at the seams due to urbanization and endless migration, the Nepalese government has decided to build a new city for 600,000 people. The Finnish architects are trying to bring some order to the spontaneously sprawling development in the valley which leads to many humorous situations.

Prague: After the screening, film commentary by Aleš Stuchlé and Vít Schmarc from the Radio Wave program Jaws.
