“Simplicity is the key to excellence.” (Dieter Rams)

How does the house of the legend of German industrial design look like? The most recent documentary by the independent filmmaker Gary Hustwit (Helvetica, Objectified, Urbanized) paints a portrait of Dieter Rams, an enthusiast of minimalism and a man proudly endorsing the Bauhaus legacy, whose name is linked with brands such as Braun and Vitsoe. His designs of electric razors and toothbrushes, coffee machines and calculators play a vital role in the everyday lives of millions of people around the world and inspire the contemporary product design. The music was created by Brian Eno.
