What We Have Made
This intimate, crisp black-and-white film What We Have Made captures the choreography of construction as we are not used to seeing it. The construction site is depicted in detail as a theatre stage. The film allows us to peak into the microcosm of workers, often overlooked, but still playing a major role in the process of building. From rookies to hardened old hands, from the strong silent types to those that simply can’t shut up, all of these guys meet among the scaffolding, cranes, concrete mixers in all weather. Each and every one of them has their own ideals, dreams, worries and ambitions as well as their common goal to finish the creation of this gigantic edifice and move on to another task. The most popular film of the last year’s edition of the architectural film festival in Rotterdam.
